
Catherine Jane Ford, born 5 December 1969 was an English comedian actor, writer, and actress. Her performance in The Catherine Tate Show, a BBC sketch comedy show has won her numerous accolades. She was also nominated for seven BAFTAs and an International Emmy Award. Tate was Donna Noble's co-star in Doctor Who's Christmas special of 2006. She later reprised the role and became the Tenth Doctor's regular companion in the fourth series of Doctor Who in 2008. [2] Following The Catherine Tate Show's success, Tate played Joanie Taylor ("Nan") on the BBC One comedy series Catherine Tate's Nan (2009-2015), and in The Nan Movie (2022). Tate was cast in 2011 to play an appearance as Nellie Bertram in The Office, the U.S. edition of The Office. Tate was a regular character until the show's end. [3] She played the part as Miss Sarah Postern in the BBC One sitcom Big School (2013-2014) and she voiced Magica De Spell in the animated TV series DuckTales (2017-2021).
