Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former worker in a factory. Sharon was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone is a gifted student in the classroom as young children, began in second grade at five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her win Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in the year 1977. They joined an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. Then, she moved to Europe, spending a year with her aunt in Milan as well as Paris. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion industry and opted to go into acting. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews at the age of 20.
