Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multicultural family. Born in South London. Madekwe is English but her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised on a South London council estate as a teenager, she 14she enrolled in The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained an acting BA. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her career as an actress with the film Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. In the following film, she played Elisha, a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast for The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen for her as Ashley Davenport. Following her appearance as a regular on the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after a guest appearance in the first episode of the third season. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter as well as in the summer. Her childhood was spent in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. In the age of two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered a love for dancing shortly after she joined Baby Ballet. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. Ashley took home the best soloist honor at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among the few.
