Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She received the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been actively involved in theater, film, and television. She began her career as an actor in theater before going on to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's massive series The Book of Negroes she was a character. Not only did she receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her career began as an actress in 1995 as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Film-wise her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In the world of television, her character in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
